3 Well Known Australians

When Sydney artist Martin Shaw painted Three Well Known Australians in 1982, he sparked a guessing game that has entertained and intrigued generations of Australians. This enigmatic artwork has travelled to galleries, libraries, and public halls non-stop since that time, inviting viewers across the nation to guess the identity of the figures it depicts. Some key personalities that have been suggested have been Gough Whitlam, Cathy Freeman, and Ita Buttrose. The exhibit included recent letters from Prime Minister Scott Morrison and WA Premier Mark McGowan.

This exhibit was ideal for school students, and students were invited to used their creative imagination to name the figures.

The exhibition ran from 9 March 2022 until 19 April 2022.
