Here we are in the middle of March and those who are born in this month are Pisceans.

In astrology, Pisces is the 12th sign of the zodiac, considered as governing the period from about February 19 to March 20

Pisceans very rarely judge, and they are hard to shock. This creates a safe space for their friends and loved ones to open up.

People born during March have the Aquamarine birthstone. The Aquamarine gem symbolizes rebirth and purity. Its name comes from a Latin word that means “seawater.”

One such famous person who died in March was Charles Yelverton O’Connor. As we all know he took his own life at the age of 58 after being accused of corruption on a personal level and  being vilified by journalists of the newspapers of the time

The society held a meeting at Boya Library on Saturday 16th March and our guest speaker was Bill Cutler who spoke about C Y O’Connor and his achievements. As well as those he soundly quashed the many comments about O’Conner committing suicide because the water did not reach Kalgoorlie on the Official Opening Day. Amongst the audience were some retired teachers who told us that fact was in the history curriculum at the time. The retelling of history does change over time !
